A permanent opportunity with great prospects at a large heavy process engineering manufacturing site in north Birmingham. 12 hour shifts, annual hours rota, overtime, great salary, prospects and benefits. It offers an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled production team within a globally recognised leader in sustainable paper, recycling, and packaging manufacturing.
The Winder Machine Operator will be a key member of the production team, working within a flexible, skilled, and fast‑paced environment to ensure the Winder Machine operates safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will take a hands‑on approach to operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting the Winder process, supporting smooth production flow and minimising downtime across the site.
Requirements:
- 3‑5 passed GCSEs including English and Maths.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing / production / warehouse environment.
- Use of a computer/laptop including MS Office.
- Good communication skills, verbally and written.
- Desire to progress.
- Strong adaptability, responsibility, and decision‑making required due to significant independent working.
