Location: Nicobond Factory – Stoke on Trent

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8 am–5 pm

Being factory-based, you will be working in close collaboration with our Laboratory Manager, Chemists, QC Team, and Operations Manager, as part of the senior management team led by our

Factory Operations Director.

Responsibility

Nicobond is a high-quality British manufacturer of flooring and tiling products with 70 years of manufacturing experience. Specialising in the manufacture of cement and epoxy-based tile adhesives, grouting compounds, smoothing compounds, screeds, a variety of moisture control systems, and specialist mortars.

Due to ongoing success and growth, we are expanding our factory technical team and are looking for a highly motivated and technically capable manager with technical experience in adhesives, screeds, grouts, and mortars within the tiling and/or flooring industries. The successful candidate will also manage a technical assistant.

The successful candidate will enjoy a comprehensive induction and significant training, bringing them up to date with our Nicobond product range.

Nicobond Technical Manager:

• Previous technical/technical services experience within this predominantly cement technology-based sector.
• Knowledge of the relevant tiling and flooring BS/EN standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good team player with attention to detail.
• A process and system-driven approach.
• Computer literate, Microsoft suite of applications.

Overview of Responsibilities

• Specifications and managing complaints
• Technical Data Sheets
• Managing packaging technical detail
• Management of NBS specification & MSDS software system
• Working with the wider Technical Team in developing and managing product-led systems.
• Managing ISO and BBA accreditation
