Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team based in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who enjoys working in a varied role covering all aspects of transactional finance.
You'll be supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts function, working closely with the Finance Manager and wider business to ensure accurate financial records and smooth processing of financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments
- Raising sales invoices and allocating customer payments
- Credit control and maintaining customer accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses
- Assisting with payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Resolving invoice and payment queries
- Supporting with month-end processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
- Providing general finance administration support
Requirements:
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Good understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations
- Experience with credit control would be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Sage, Xero or similar accounting software
- AAT qualified or studying would be beneficial but not essential
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
