NC Associates are working with a successful and expanding Motor Trade business based in Shrewsbury who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused finance professional who is looking to develop their career within a busy accounts environment.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day finance operations of the business, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, supplier records are maintained, and financial processes run smoothly.

This role would suit someone with previous transactional finance experience who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team within a fast-paced and growing organisation.

  • Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities
  • Completing daily banking reconciliations and ensuring accuracy against internal records
  • Processing supplier invoices and matching purchase invoices correctly
  • Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
  • Preparing and processing payment requests
  • Supporting general finance administration and document management
  • Scanning, filing, and maintaining financial documentation
  • Providing support across sales administration when required
  • Assisting the wider accounts team with ad-hoc finance tasks

  • Previous experience within an accounts or finance administration role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
