NC Associates are partnering with an SME based in Sheffield to recruit a HR Manager to lead and streamline their HR processes.
Remuneration:
- Salary – highly competitive
- Working hours: 3 set weekdays per week, 8.30am – 5pm (includes a paid 45 minute lunch break) or we would consider an alternative part-time working pattern such as shorter hours across fewer days

About the Role
A growing organisation is seeking a proactive HR professional to support and enhance its HR function. Reporting to senior management, you will provide comprehensive HR support across the business, ensuring consistency, compliance, and a positive employee experience. This role covers a wide range of HR responsibilities including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and policy development. It also involves supporting managers with HR guidance and contributing to a values-led working environment. This is an office-based position.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & Culture
- Align HR activities with organisational goals and support the broader business strategy.
- Promote an inclusive, supportive, and values-driven culture.
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment cycle with hiring managers, including job descriptions, advertising, screening, interviews, offers, and contracts.
- Oversee reference checks, new starter documentation, and the onboarding and induction process.
- Employee Lifecycle & Engagement
- Administer changes such as promotions, role updates, and leavers, including conducting exit interviews.
- Support employee engagement, performance, and development initiatives.
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Lead on employee relations matters including disciplinary issues, grievances, and attendance management.
- Advise managers on employment legislation, HR procedures, and performance-related concerns.
- Maintain and update HR policies and ensure consistent application across the organisation.
- HR Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure documentation is compliant and up to date.
- Monitor people-related metrics such as attendance and sickness and prepare reports for management.
- Identify and recommend improvements to HR processes and documentation.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for employees.
- Support a variety of ad hoc tasks and business projects as required.
