Management Accountant Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
  • Producing accurate month-end reporting packs for senior leadership
  • Business partnering with operational and production teams across the manufacturing site
  • Monitoring manufacturing costs, margins, overheads, and stock movements
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning
  • Reviewing and analysing inventory levels, WIP, and cost variances
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end controls
  • Supporting year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
  • Providing financial insight to improve efficiency, profitability, and cost control
  • Identifying process improvements across reporting and finance operations
  • Supporting wider commercial finance projects when required
Management Accountant Experience Required
  • Essential: ACCA / CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE
  • Previous experience as a Management Accountant or similar finance role
  • Experience working within manufacturing, engineering, or stock-led environments
  • Strong month-end and management accounts experience
  • Excellent Excel and analytical skills
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Desirable: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Dynamics, or similar
  • Exposure to stock accounting, WIP, and cost accounting
  • Experience improving finance processes and reporting efficiency
