Finance Business Partner Role Overview
NC Associates are working with an established manufacturing business based in Deeside who are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
This is a commercially focused role where you’ll work closely with operational and senior management teams, using financial information and analysis to help drive business performance.
You’ll act as a key link between finance and the wider business, providing insight into costs, margins, budgets, forecasting and operational performance. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys looking beyond the numbers and getting involved in the commercial side of a business.
Finance Business Partner Responsibilities
- Partnering with operational and senior management teams to support business performance
- Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts and financial analysis
- Providing insight into revenue, costs, margins and profitability
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
- Analysing variances against budget and identifying key drivers
- Working closely with production and operational teams to understand financial performance
- Monitoring manufacturing costs and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
- Supporting product costing and margin analysis
- Producing financial reports and KPIs for senior stakeholders
- Providing commercial insight to support business decisions
- Challenging financial and operational performance where appropriate
- Supporting investment and business case analysis
- Improving reporting processes and introducing efficiencies across the finance function
- Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects
Finance Business Partner Experience Required
- Previous experience within a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or commercially focused finance role
- Experience within a manufacturing or product-based environment would be highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret financial data
- Confident working with non-finance stakeholders
- Excellent Excel skills and experience using financial/accounting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of costs, margins and business performance
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach with a genuine interest in how finance can support the wider business
