An excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join a law firm based in Altrincham. As the Legal Cashier, you will be working in a small team and will be responsible for all cashiering duties, including client and office accounts transactions.
Legal Cashier Responsibilities- Assist in the posting of transactions to clients and office ledgers accurately and promptly.
- Assist in the processing of payments and cheque requests.
- Handle client-to-office and client-to-client transfers in line with SRA rules.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations for client and office accounts.
- Manage petty cash and residual client balances.
- Print and process client and office cheques.
- Prepare and process weekly payment runs.
- Respond to ledger queries and assist with write-offs.
- Support month-end processes and VAT returns.
- Previous transferable accounts experience.
- Experience as a legal Cashier in a law firm environment desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills and communication skills.
