An excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier to join a law firm based in Altrincham. As the Legal Cashier, you will be working in a small team and will be responsible for all cashiering duties, including client and office accounts transactions.

Legal Cashier Responsibilities
  • Assist in the posting of transactions to clients and office ledgers accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in the processing of payments and cheque requests.
  • Handle client-to-office and client-to-client transfers in line with SRA rules.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for client and office accounts.
  • Manage petty cash and residual client balances.
  • Print and process client and office cheques.
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs.
  • Respond to ledger queries and assist with write-offs.
  • Support month-end processes and VAT returns.
Legal Cashier Experience Required
  • Previous transferable accounts experience.
  • Experience as a legal Cashier in a law firm environment desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and communication skills.
