Management Accountant / Salary £45,000 - £55,000 + Benefits + Free Parking /Ellesmere Port / Permanent Role / Fast Paced Growing Business / Hybrid Role Management Accountant Benefits Salary £45000-£55000Hybrid working, 3 days in the office Free Parking NC Associates are partnering with a fast-growing renewable energy business based in Ellesmere Port to recruit a Management Accountant.

Supporting the Senior Finance Team, the role will help ensure the smooth running of the finance function while providing accurate financial analysis and strong cost control.

The Management Accountant will prepare monthly management accounts, analyse project and operational costs, and deliver insightful reporting to support informed decision-making, performance and efficiency within a fast-paced, expanding organisation.

Management Accountant Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet commentary and supporting schedules.

Deliver clear variance analysis against budget and forecast, explaining performance drivers and highlighting risks and opportunities.

Produce accurate, insightful management reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Take ownership of the annual budgeting process, working closely with budget holders across the business.

Support regular forecasting and reforecasting cycles, improving accuracy and robustness over time.

Challenge assumptions and ensure budgets and forecasts reflect commercial reality, not wishful thinking.

Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, cost pressures and opportunities for improvement.

Support financial modelling, scenario analysis and ad-hoc commercial analysis as required.

Contribute to the development and reporting of KPIs.

Act as a finance business partner to operational teams, providing insight, guidance and constructive challenge.

Work collaboratively within the Finance team to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Maintain strong financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and documentation.

Support continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and reporting.

Assist with year-end, audit and statutory reporting requirements.

Management Accountant Experience Required Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) or QBE with substantial experience35 years experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and cost accounting principles.

Experience using ERP systems (e. g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
