Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
- Assisting with accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Producing financial reports and analysis for stakeholders
- Supporting cash flow reporting and working capital management
- Assisting with audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Supporting process improvements across the finance function
- Liaising with operational teams to support financial reporting accuracy
Experience Required:
- Essential:
- Previous experience within an Assistant Management Accountant or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and motivated approach to learning and development
- Desirable:
- AAT qualified or studying CIMA / ACCA
- Experience using ERP or cloud-based finance systems
- Exposure to management accounts preparation and financial reporting
