Group Management Accountant Role
NC Associates are working in partnership with a long established group organisation based in in Haslingden – Lancashire to help recruit a Group Management Accountant. As a Group Management Accountant you will be working closely with senior members of the finance team, this is a broad role that will provide support in the production of management accounts for a number of entities within the group, you will assist in driving improvements in processes, controls and reporting to enable business growth. This role will also involve financial reporting and will give you excellent exposure working alongside the Group FC
Group Management Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts from ‘end to end’ for a number of entities within the group
- Produce accurate monthly balance sheet and inter-company loan reconciliation’s and P&L account analysis workings to support the management accounts.
- Variance analysis of the P&L and margin analysis of sales.
- Budgeting and cash-flow forecasting
- Work closely with the senior members of the team in the production of the quarterly group consolidated management accounts and year end statutory financial statement preparation.
- Prepare and file VAT returns
- Reconciling all balance sheet control accounts; PAYE, VAT, Wages, stock etc.
- Support the junior members of the team in mentoring and developing them
- Liaise with the auditors and assist senior members of the finance team in the management of audit queries and responses.
- Supporting the wider business through the on-going systems process and improvements.
Group Management Accountant Experience Required
- Part Qualified – Newly Qualified / QBE Accountant.
- Experience of working within a similar role within Management Accounts
- Strong Excel Skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and hit tight deadlines.
- Experience of budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communicator and able to articulate financial information in an easy to understand format.
- An eye for process improvements and the confidence to make suggestions.
