Role Design Engineer role
Location Fakenham , Norfolk
Working hours Monday to Friday Full time hours
Capacity of role Permanent position
Salary – £30,000 – £40,000 per annum
Our client is currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join their Drawing office. The role focuses on modifying and improving existing designs, ensuring products are cost-effective, manufacturable, and meet high technical standards.
Main duties will includes
- Production of accurate manufacturing drawings.
- Production of full assembly drawings & parts lists from manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
- Modifications and revision of design drawings.
- Aid production with troubleshooting and design improvements.
- Preparing concept designs for new products.
- Store and organise drawings, ensuring all information is accessible and up to date
- Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in drawing office methods & practices
- Good all round knowledge of 2D/3D CAD systems as well as Microsoft Office.
- Experience with SolidWorks / SolidWorks PDM or similar CAD software.
- Ability to work as part of a small experienced team.
