Role: Blasting Operative

Location: Attleborough, Norfolk

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time hours

Capacity of Role: Permanent role

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Our client is looking for a workshop operative to assist with the smooth running of their production process. Applicants will need to be familiar with shot blasting and preparing materials for their processes.

Main Duties:

• Setting up of blasting equipment
• Masking & preparing items for blast cleaning
• Ensuring all materials are processed safely
• Preparing surfaces to approved standards in order that items can be painted
• Following strict safety regulations covering the use of potentially hazardous materials
• Carrying out visual inspections of completed blasted items
• Liaising with management regarding queries on paperwork of jobs processed

Candidate Attributes:

• Blasting experience
• Factory-based experience with broad product knowledge (e.g., blast media) essential
• Experience of working to industry standards – essential
• Able to work independently and on own initiative
• Comfortable in a customer-facing situation and able to represent the company in all environments
• Good communication skills
• Own transport due to the location of the business
