About the Company
nbm are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work in either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office. The role itself will involve acting on behalf of the company in either a Quantity Surveying, Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent role. Sectors in which we work include residential, hotels and leisure, education, industrial, public buildings, commercial and office fit out.
About the Role
The role itself will involve managing projects, leading on document production within the office including cost planning at various levels and tender production. Post contract cost control and contract administration. The projects which you will be working on will generally be across Scotland with a large focus in the central belt.
Responsibilities
- Acting on behalf of the company in either a Quantity Surveying or Employer's Agent role
- Producing Cost Plans at various levels and tender documents
- Post contract cost management
- Contract administration
- Working with our junior staff to assist you on your project delivery and to develop their own skills
Qualifications
Relevant educational background in Quantity Surveying or related field
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to produce cost plans and tender documents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Quantity Surveying practices
Preferred Skills
Previous PQS experience is preferred but not essential
