The HR Manager is a true business partner to the NBCUniversal businesses. This role drives the local HR agenda with both a people‑centric and commercial mindset, aimed at driving the business forward. All aspects of the employee life cycle are touched upon and the best employee experience is pursued. The incumbent will interpret and provide input against needs to identify, plan and deliver critical initiatives to align with business and HR strategies. To be successful in the role it is essential to establish strong and trusted partnerships with business leaders, HR leaders and centralized specialist functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise, acting strategically and operationally across all HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation and reward, employee engagement and organisational design and change.
  • Create a positive employee relations environment by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, and balancing business needs with employee needs; act as an effective business partner, sounding board and change agent to drive desired behavioural and organisational changes.
  • Advise leadership teams during the annual budget cycle on overhead impact (e.g., costs for headcount, recruitment, promotions, market adjustments).
  • In partnership with the HR Director, prepare and deliver annual people plans in alignment with business goals and HR global strategy.
  • Lead on HR projects where required.
  • Ensure compliance with the Respect in the Workplace practice & policy.
  • Lead local talent management programmes including the talent review and performance feedback process, coaching managers, providing advice and support while building a culture of continuous development and feedback.
  • Partner with the Inclusion, Talent and Development team on projects and programmes related to the Film Group.
  • Partner with the Talent Team on sourcing and hiring the best talent; support recruiting, testing and interviewing processes.
  • Implement compensation and benefits initiatives and lead the annual salary review process in line with guidelines and performance.
  • Analyse training needs against business strategy and employee skill gaps, defining initiatives and ensuring delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Experience creating and executing HR people plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with clients.
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence in conflict situations, providing leadership and direction.
  • Experience managing HR within a fast‑paced dynamic environment.
  • Strong employment‑law knowledge and experience managing ER cases.
  • Ability to work independently in a creative environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to engage, influence and develop strong relationships.
  • Ability to provide strategic support in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels and flex style in various scenarios.
