NBCU has deployed SAP to run financial, logistics, and HR processes. SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation) is deployed to run the planning processes at an enterprise and division level. NBCU currently has 16 BPC solutions to support financial planning processes. NBCU is also on a Finance transformation journey that will result in most of the planning solutions moving to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

As the Business System Analysis Manager, you will be the bridge between finance strategy and technical execution. You will lead the support and delivery of planning solutions within the International FP&A portfolio, ensuring our global users have the tools they need to drive the business forward. This role will be responsible for supporting SAP BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud solutions within the Organization. This role is considered a critical role in Enterprise Applications, and the job also requires working flexible hours to support accounting/planning users globally.

  • Applies unique or broad expertise to unearth and solve broad challenges.
  • Solves complex problems; enhances and develops new methods, systems, and/or tools.
  • Deliver solutions to solve business problems around financial planning, headcount planning, and operational planning (driver‑based & allocations) using SAP BPC and SAC.
  • Configure processes, develop reports, and templates for FP&A related activities.
  • Translate business processes to functional requirements to developers as needed.
  • Review & participate in solution build and test activities on FP&A Systems implementations, rollouts, and upgrade projects.
  • Participate in the solution roadmap for FP&A systems projects.
  • Collaborate with peers within the Technology team to apply best practices to integrate between technology solutions.
  • Interact with multiple cross‑functional peers and teams to execute work agreements and plans, maintaining relationships with internal/external customers and partners.
  • Act as the trusted voice of the Technology team with other IT groups and key business users.
  • Assist in troubleshooting production support issues.
  • Enhance expertise for products relevant to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) business.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of ERP FP&A systems (SAC, SAP BPC, Oracle EPM, Anaplan, OneStream, etc.) hands‑on experience.
  • Prior hands‑on experience should include technical/functional analyst with proven skills to develop templates, configuration of new environments/models, dimensions, logic, and computations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new FP&A technologies.
  • Skillful at translating complex technical requirements into 'finance-speak' for executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to gather & present business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Ability to guide technical development using specifications documentation.
  • Ability to work and collaborate within a cross‑functional matrix.
  • Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of business and IT.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as needed in a demanding environment.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and experience of building models within SAC and/or BPC.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP for FICO, BW in a functional capacity.
  • Familiarity with SAP Business Data Cloud (Datasphere, Databricks).
  • Project time and cost estimation ability.
  • Project management familiarity/experience.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools: SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analysis for Office (AOE), or other similar applications.
  • Experience in Media Entertainment Accounting and/or core accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Passion and desire to make a difference, matched by ingenuity, dedication, and pragmatism.
