The Contract Management Senior Manager is a key member of the Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) team, responsible for overseeing a team of Contract Managers and Coordinators, and overseeing the contract lifecycle across specific territories and/or product categories. This role reports to the Vice President – Contract Management, Clearances & GAM. The Contract Management team works across functions and shepherds deals from the pitch phase all the way through final execution and payment. The team works closely with Category, Finance, Legal, Controllership and IT to streamline the deal process and assist where necessary to maintain an efficient deal workflow, from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver with some team management experience, who takes ownership of projects, has some contract and/or licensing experience, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract & Deal Management: Manage the full contract lifecycle—from deal memo through asset release and execution—with an eye toward improving and streamlining processes; Manage the deal workflow for the overall EMEA and APAC regions, including status meetings and deal prioritization; Ensure accurate deal entry in the contract management system, compliance with deal guidelines, and proper documentation through to contract execution; Monitor and track deals to ensure timely execution.
  • Systems, Reporting & Compliance: Serve as a super-user for internal deal management systems to assist stakeholders with deal entry issues; Develop and enhance system reporting tools for key stakeholders; Issue customs letters and other required documentation for deals.
  • Operations & Projects: Contribute to ad hoc projects and operational initiatives (e.g., contract statistics tracking, managing third party deal approvals, deal trend tracking); Develop training materials and facilitate internal process training sessions.
  • Team Management and Leadership: Lead the EMEA and APAC Contract Management team of Coordinators and Managers; Provide constructive and timely feedback to individual contributors and manage the annual review process for the team; Provide development and coaching opportunities to individual contributors; Collaborate closely with the Americas Director of Contract Management to ensure global alignment of team goals and best practices; Ensure timely completion of daily revenue-related tasks and projects by teams.
Qualifications
  • Basic Requirements: Licensing and/or relevant work experience with Consumer Products, Games and/or Publishing businesses strongly desired; Experience with a royalty-based business preferred; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Solid background with systems, policy setting, and processes; Ability to produce accurate, fit-for-purpose reports from system data; Advanced MS office skills; Excellent data analytical skills.
  • Desired Characteristics: Previous experience with contract management systems preferred; Previous experience leading and developing a team preferred.
