This role is responsible for ensuring that NBCUniversal’s EMEA Networks, Hayu, and International DTC advertising sales partners across Central & Eastern Europe and Africa are managed and supported to the highest possible standard, with a strong focus on delivering against ad sales revenue targets. Covering key EMEA markets including Romania, Poland, Balkans, Benelux and Africa, the role acts as the senior owner for third‑party sales houses across both Pay TV and Digital platforms, leading all ad sales related relationships with accountability for revenue performance.
The Head of Account Management, Ad Sales CEE & Africa will drive commercial growth by identifying and unlocking new revenue opportunities, including sponsorships, branded content, and creative advertising solutions. Acting as the primary interface between external partners and NBCUniversal’s internal teams, the role ensures strong alignment, clear communication, and seamless execution across all stakeholders. The role is responsible for overseeing performance tracking, forecasting, and reporting across partners, proactively identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions where needed. It will lead coordination and issue resolution across regional partners, driving accountability, consistency, and high standards of delivery, while strengthening long‑term partnerships and maximising the value of NBCUniversal’s advertising inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop strong relationships with third‑party sales houses across the key regions.
- Own and deliver against advertising sales targets, with full revenue accountability.
- Lead financial reporting and forecasting for partner performance internally & externally.
- Oversee execution of advertising campaigns, including sponsorships, in collaboration with planning and operations teams.
- Drive growth across linear, digital and catch‑up advertising revenues.
- Identify and develop sponsorship, branded content, and bespoke creative campaign opportunities.
- Explore and unlock new advertising revenue streams and market opportunities.
- Lead and pitch bespoke creative opportunities within local productions to agencies and brand partners.
Internal team collaboration
- Partner closely with Marketing on trade initiatives, events, B2B and B2C campaigns.
- Collaborate with Research team to analyse campaign performance and extract insights.
- Act as the ad sales representative within internal meetings and cross‑functional forums.
- Influence Programming, Marketing, and wider teams to align with commercial goals and drive revenue and ratings.
Additional responsibilities
- Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and key client engagements.
- Lead contract negotiations and renewals with third‑party partners.
- Deliver regular internal reporting, including quarterly market overviews and performance updates.
- Support UK and global special ad sales projects on an ad hoc basis, contributing expertise and executional support.
Basic Requirements
Experience
- Proven track record managing third‑party sales houses / representative networks, ideally across CEE and Africa markets.
- Strong background in TV / linear broadcast and digital advertising sales, with clear responsibility for revenue delivery and growth.
- Experience working with regional ad sales partners across multiple territories.
- Good understanding of media buying landscape (agencies, clients, trading dynamics) within key markets.
Capabilities
- Ability to drive revenue through indirect sales models, influencing partners rather than owning direct sales teams.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder influence, particularly with senior leadership in partner organisations.
- Commercially sharp with the ability to identify growth opportunities, and communication of plans.
- Highly analytical, comfortable using sales data, forecasts, and performance metrics to inform strategy.
- Skilled in cross‑cultural communication and market adaptation across diverse regions.
