The role is broad in nature and requires a reliable and pro-active team member. Experience in commercial environments, with a natural aptitude for the interactivity between the creative, commercial, production and corporate worlds would be advantageous. Responsibilities will include assisting with the Business and Legal Affairs work across a wide variety of matters and projects on a day-to-day basis, including:
- assisting in structuring, negotiating and drafting film and television commissioning, financing and co-production agreements;
- negotiating and drafting film and television development and production agreements with on- and off- screen talent and crew;
- assisting in structuring, negotiating and drafting content acquisition agreements in relation to finished films/documentaries, and titles going into production;
- advising on rights issues and rights distribution agreements;
- advising on all aspects of film and television developments and productions including providing copyright, IP and compliance advice;
- liaising internally at NBCUniversal with cross disciplinary teams and externally with other studios, distributors, platforms, talent, creative and production personnel; and
- working collaboratively across the team to share and improve knowledge, through know-how research/presentations, the development of templates etc.

- Experience of drafting and negotiating commercial / IP contracts
- Strong understanding of contract, commercial and copyright law
- Able to demonstrate an interest in the media industry and legal issues related to it
