We require a Housekeeping Supervisor at our care home. The main responsibility of this role is to lead a team of housekeeping staff and ensure that the home is maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To organise and supervise the work of the domestic staff
  • Ordering provisions and non-consumable items to agree budget levels and maintain adequate stock
  • To ensure the home is clean and well presented at all times
  • To assist and ensure assigned areas of the home are cleaned using the correct equipment and materials

About You

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be leading a team of housekeeping staff ensuring that the care home is maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times for our residents. You'll manage the cleaning rota, leading by example. And, whether planning the week's laundry, ordering a new batch of cleaning products or reading up on new infection control procedures, you'll always have the wellbeing of our residents in mind above anything else.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a cleaning Supervisor role. It is important that you have excellent record keeping, good communication and time management skills. You'll have great knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations, as well as infection control. It is essential that you have the ability to prioritise tasks, have a flexible approach and have the ability to supervise, lead and develop the housekeeping team members.
