An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at our Retirement Village as Deputy Manager.
The main responsibility of this role is to provide support to the staff team and residents at Larmenier and deputise in the absence of the General Manager. To provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a focus on excellent customer service to all that visit Larmenier Village.
We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team and can effectively supervise individuals and a team. The role will suit someone who is caring, friendly and empathetic.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Leadership of the service in the absence of the GM including share of the on-call process.
- Allocation of tasks to team members and planning of duties to the wider team.
- On occasions you will be required to step up and work alongside others on the floor.
- Support with the recruitment process, raising of adverts for vacancies and interviewing ofperspective new staff members. Oversight of internal recruitment system Eploy in absenceof GM.
- Process of payroll in the absence of the GM
- General administrative duties, including processing of invoices to finance and statement ofaccount for residents. Weekly monitoring of debt on accounts.
- Support the GM in the chairing of staff and residents meeting and creation of minutes.
- Take the lead on viewings for rental and sales opportunities and updating on internalrecords associated with this task.
- Management of the Deposit Protection Scheme for new rentals.
- Processing of all payments and reconciliation of monthly takings for coffee shop and bar.
- Effective management of complaints process.
- Support the GM with HR related tasks and completion of all required paperwork.
- Monitoring and updating of progress trackers for the service and updating of serviceimprovement plan.
- Completing of staff supervision meetings and completion of necessary documentation.
- Staff development and identifying training needs for the team.
- Promotion of safe working practices as laid down by the Heath and Safety at Work Actincluding the completion of all internal audit processes.
About You
Weβre looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Deputy Manager to be part of the team. You will ideally have experience in management of Support Work work or Hospitality.
