Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with athletic association regulations and student eligibility requirements.
- Manage schedules, facilities, transportation, and game-day operations.
- Recruit, supervise, and evaluate coaching staff while maintaining required certifications and clearances.
- Promote character development, Catholic values, and sportsmanship across athletic programs.
- Lead the Parent Athletic Association and coordinate volunteer engagement.
- Oversee the athletic budget, equipment, uniforms, fundraising, and special events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for athletic communications, website updates, rosters, and community relations.
- Foster a positive, inclusive athletic culture that reflects Nazareth Prep's mission and values.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; fields such as Athletic Administration, Physical Education, or Sports Management preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in athletic administration or coaching, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Working knowledge of PIAA, WPIAL, and related governing body rules.
- Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Nazareth Prep.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Valid Pennsylvania background clearances (Act 33, Act 34, PDE FBI) or ability to obtain prior to start.
Preferred
- Experience with scheduling software such as Schedule Star or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with Hudl, MaxPreps, and PIAA digital portals.
- Experience implementing character development or restorative practices programs.
- Athletic director certification (NIAAA CMAA or state equivalent).
