We have opportunities at our care home for Senior Care Assistant roles. The main responsibility of the job is to deliver a high standard of care to our residents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To actively participate and supervise in the delivery of care to the residents.
- Support and work closely with families and friends offering them professional and emotional support, sensitive to individual need.
- To administer prescribed medication to residents following the home’s policy and procedure.
- To lead, motivate and support care staff.
- To be responsible with the team for the preparation, implementation, review and update of all residents' care plans in line with their personal wishes and preferences.
- To establish effective liaison with other healthcare professionals e.g. GPs, District Nurses, Physiotherapy, Hospitals, etc.
All posts offered are subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS or PVG disclosure.
About You:
You will be responsible for leading the care team ensuring that a safe, effective, and efficient care service is maintained which meets the needs of our residents. You will ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice. We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team and can effectively supervise individuals and a team. The role will suit someone who is caring, friendly, empathetic and has a good understanding of the needs of our residents. You will ideally hold a S/NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (Adults) and have experience at that level or be willing to undertake the Level 3 qualification.
