Role overview: Working as a team of Technicians, this entry level role will give you a fantastic insight into the multiple roles of the Control Room. Monitoring various systems and working alongside the Engineering team you’ll ensure our extensive Kingsway automated equipment runs smoothly. Co-ordinating with the Kingsway Operations team, you’ll release Multi-Channel and Retail orders into the automation and manual picking areas to ensure we fulfil our customer promise. Not only does the Control Room support Kingsway, this systems support extends to several locations across the UK and Europe!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SCADA, and CCTV systems highlighting any issues to the Engineering and Engineering Support teams
- Releasing of Retail store orders and Internet customer orders into the WMS systems
- Completion and issuing of hourly, daily, and weekly reports
- Management of user accounts for DC systems – Matflo WMS, Selektron, Control Tower, Message Broker
- Provide multi-site support to users of Matflo WMS – primarily Kingsway – and raise issues with the system supplier via the JD ‘Request Tracker’ system
- To escape high severity issues to the Lead Technician
Skills and Experience:
- Control Room or Helpdesk experience
- Experience within an automated distribution centre or similar site
- Matflo WMS, PSB Selektron & SCADA, Dematic SCADA
- Use of handheld radios
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- System user management experience
- Experience of using ‘Request Tracker’ or other ticket management system
