The Senior Motion Designer will be responsible for creating world-class motion content across multiple platforms and channels within the JD Group. This role requires a proven ability to manage large-scale campaigns from concept through to completion, while effectively multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills are essential. As a mentor and role model, you will foster a high-performing, positive team culture, guiding others and delegating tasks to ensure deadlines are consistently met. You must demonstrate proactive problem-solving, anticipate challenges, and maintain a forward-thinking approach to all projects.

Key Areas Of Responsibility

  • Consistently maintain high-quality projects in line with business guidelines and creative requirements.
  • Work independently and with others, to conceptualise and deliver high quality motion across all channels.
  • Collaborate with team leaders and peers in the studio, to enable the delivery of assets on time and on budget.
  • Work closely with the Lead Motion Designer to implement innovative solutions and improvements to workflow and processes.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the team.
  • A commitment to your team's personal growth and agencies.
  • Answer estimate requests when required.
  • QC team members' work, ensuring standards are met across the team and give feedback in a constructive, motivating and polite manner.
  • Thrive on constructive feedback, actively seeking personal and team development opportunities.
  • Conceptualisation from brief to final asset handover.
  • Able to always stay positive and find solutions.
  • Be an advocate for the JD Studio Team, acting as internal and 3rd party ambassador, able to proactively extol the unique skills of the internal team.
  • Employ a methodical approach to project management and file organisation.
  • Enable leadership and mentorship from seniors, leads, peers, collaborators.
  • When working with others be open to feedback and accept critique in a positive manner.
  • Be a team player and understand that there will be times when you are asked to do ad hoc work to meet goals, achieve objectives and deliver for business needs, which may not be outlined in your job description.
  • Ensure you are punctual and start work at your contracted time.
  • Ensure WFH/studio split is in line with policy and your presence in the studio is consistent.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant industry technology/innovations and software releases, sharing knowledge with the team.
