Nayi Uraan Foundation is a UK-registered non-profit organisation committed to transforming the lives of underprivileged children in the slums of Pakistan. By prioritising education, we aim to empower young minds, break the cycle of poverty, and foster brighter futures for the children and their communities. We believe education is a tool for social change, so we tailor programs to the unique challenges of slum communities and create sustainable impact.

This is a Part-time remote role for Community Volunteers. As we grow, we are looking for volunteers to lead to advisor or trustee-level positions for the right candidates.

Community Volunteers will support educational initiatives, organise awareness events, build strong community relations, promote charitable work, assist with digital campaigns, and help with teachers' development programs, among other activities. The role also includes:

  • Coordinating with various teams
  • Outreach initiatives to engage donors or stakeholders
  • Monitoring the impact of ongoing projects to ensure their success
  • Providing a learning opportunity

Key skills required:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships within communities and with stakeholders
  • Event planning and organisation skills to manage awareness programs and campaign activities
  • Basic digital marketing skills, including social media management and content creation
  • Ability to coordinate teamwork and oversee ongoing projects efficiently
  • Passion for education, social empowerment, and community development
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work remotely under minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with challenges faced by underserved communities, particularly in Pakistan, is a plus
  • Prior volunteering experience or education in social work, nonprofit management, or related fields is an added advantage
