Role Summary
Navys is seeking an ambitious Front End Engineer to join the team on a full time basis. This role focuses on owning and building the user facing parts of the Navys platform. You will shape how lawyers and fund professionals interact with the product by building responsive, intuitive and reliable interfaces. You will work closely with design, product and backend engineering to deliver high impact features in an evolving and technically ambitious environment. This is not a narrow implementation role. It requires strong ownership, attention to quality, and the ability to translate complex workflows into clear and usable product experiences.
Responsibilities
- Product Delivery and Execution
- Build and refine core user interface components using React and TypeScript
- Translate complex legal and operational workflows into clean, intuitive and user friendly interfaces
- Deliver production ready frontend features that meet enterprise quality standards
- Frontend Architecture and Quality
- Build and maintain a scalable frontend architecture in close collaboration with backend and platform engineers
- Own frontend performance, accessibility and reliability across browsers and devices
- Ensure a high standard of frontend quality through testing, review and iteration
- Engineering Contribution and Collaboration
- Work closely with design to deliver production ready interfaces
- Help define and establish frontend best practices, tooling and testing infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering to align frontend delivery with broader platform priorities
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building and shipping modern frontend applications
- Deep proficiency with TypeScript and React in production environments
- Experience working with Azure based infrastructure such as Azure App Services or Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of component based architecture and frontend state management
- Experience operating in fast paced startup environments with high ownership
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress or Playwright
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries such as Storybook, Chakra UI or MUI
- Experience working on B2B enterprise software or legal tech products
- Understanding of secure frontend development practices
- Strong eye for UX, interaction design and usability
