  • Take ownership of features from concept through to production release.
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on Azure.
  • Ensure the full stack from database to frontend is secure, maintainable and scalable.
  • Contribute to the reliability and performance of the platform as usage grows.
  • Influence technical architecture decisions and help define engineering best practices as the team grows.
  • Work closely with the Head of Engineering and Product to align technical execution with product priorities.
  • Collaborate effectively across engineering, product and legal domain experts.

Candidate Profile

  • Fluent in Python and strong in TypeScript, with both used in production systems.
  • Solid experience building scalable APIs and backend services.
  • Experience building modern single page applications.

  • Deep understanding of at least one major cloud platform, with Azure preferred and AWS acceptable.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and data modelling.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, early stage start up environment.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform or Bicep.
  • Familiarity with Azure services including Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Key Vault and Blob Storage.
  • Exposure to AI or LLM based tooling such as Claude, OpenAI, Azure AI or LangChain.
  • Experience in legal tech, fintech or another highly regulated domain.

What Navys Offers

  • Competitive salary plus meaningful equity at an early stage.
  • A foundational engineering role with real ownership and impact.
  • Direct influence on how the platform is built and scaled.
  • Opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the engineering team grows.
