Our client, a fast‑growing and highly regarded East London–based event catering company, is seeking to appoint a Head of Events Operations. Reporting to the Ops Director, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high‑profile events across a diverse portfolio of London venues and client sites, including corporate functions, weddings, and large‑scale events. This is a pivotal position offering real influence over operational standards, team performance, and event execution.

You will play a central role in driving consistency, refining processes, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across all events. A hands‑on role, you will take full ownership of event operations—from initial planning through to on‑site execution—while leading and developing a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment. Proven multi‑venue experience is essential; candidates from single‑site roles will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of events across multiple venues and client locations.
  • Lead on‑day operations, ensuring seamless execution and high service standards.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Event Managers, Coordinators, and freelance teams.
  • Plan & allocate resources, staffing, and logistics across a busy events schedule.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, venues, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and licensing requirements.
  • Drive operational improvements, processes, and consistency across all events.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, kitchen, and logistics teams to support commercial performance.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within high‑end hospitality or events venue setting / caterer.
  • Strong multi‑site event delivery experience (essential).
  • Experienced leader with the ability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
  • Highly organised with strong logistical and planning capability.
  • Confident and professional in client‑facing environments.
  • Calm, solutions‑focused, and effective under pressure.
  • Commercially aware with budget management experience.
