As a group of three colleges, we work in close partnership with SRH University of Applied Sciences.
We are currently seeking a Director of Learning and Teaching (m/f/d) to provide strategic leadership for all academic provision across our colleges in Heidelberg, Berlin, and Munich. The Role
Based at our Munich campus, you will lead the academic development and quality assurance strategy across all three colleges. Your leadership will play a key role in ensuring outstanding teaching quality, student engagement, retention, and academic outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the strategic development and continuous improvement of academic programmes across all campuses
- Designing and implementing shared curricula and academic frameworks
- Overseeing teacher recruitment, induction, and professional development programmes
- Ensuring high standards in teaching quality assurance and student outcomes
- Managing and supporting a team of Senior Lecturers
- Developing a new German-language Foundation Programme using your curriculum development expertise and German language skills
- Contributing to teaching delivery within your subject specialism where required
- Analysing academic performance data and presenting insights to support strategic decision-making
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partner institutions
- Promoting an inclusive, international, and student-centred learning environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in an academic leadership role within higher education
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic policies
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Willingness to occasionally travel to other campuses
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to use data to inform strategy
- Fluency in both English and German is essential
- Passion for innovative and student-focused education
