We are currently looking for an EAP Tutor to join our vibrant and forward-thinking team at Keele University International College in Keele, Staffordshire.
Hours of Work: Fixed-term contract, Part time
EAP Tutor Duties:
- Deliver high-quality English for Academic Purposes (EAP) lessons
- Facilitate seminars and assessments
- Provide constructive feedback
- Support student engagement
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent module delivery
- Monitor student progress
- Contribute to quality assurance activities to uphold high academic standards
EAP Tutor Requirements:
- Previous teaching experience in English language instruction, particularly in Pre-sessional or Academic Skills modules
- A university degree; ideally a Masters (or higher) in a relevant field
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Good IT skills, including data analysis and presentation
- The ability to work effectively with students and staff from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds
EAP Tutor Benefits:
- Hourly rate between £24 and £42 depending on qualifications and experience
- Separate pay for meetings, marking, and additional responsibilities
- Programme Leadership pay set at £15.50 for 3 hours per week
- Holiday pay calculated at 12.07% of all earnings
