We are currently looking for an EAP Tutor to join our vibrant and forward-thinking team at Keele University International College in Keele, Staffordshire.

Hours of Work: Fixed-term contract, Part time

EAP Tutor Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality English for Academic Purposes (EAP) lessons
  • Facilitate seminars and assessments
  • Provide constructive feedback
  • Support student engagement
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent module delivery
  • Monitor student progress
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities to uphold high academic standards

EAP Tutor Requirements:

  • Previous teaching experience in English language instruction, particularly in Pre-sessional or Academic Skills modules
  • A university degree; ideally a Masters (or higher) in a relevant field
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Good IT skills, including data analysis and presentation
  • The ability to work effectively with students and staff from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds

EAP Tutor Benefits:

  • Hourly rate between £24 and £42 depending on qualifications and experience
  • Separate pay for meetings, marking, and additional responsibilities
  • Programme Leadership pay set at £15.50 for 3 hours per week
  • Holiday pay calculated at 12.07% of all earnings
