The Director of Learning and Teaching will be a pivotal leader responsible for managing the development, delivery, and quality assurance of our learning programmes. You will oversee academic services, lead curriculum development, enhance student experience, and foster key strategic relationships. This role requires strategic thinking, strong management skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in education quality.
Director of Learning and Teaching Duties:
- Lead the academic team, develop new programmes from inception to delivery, ensure programme validation, and uphold high standards of academic integrity.
- Manage collaborations with partner universities, oversee quality assurance processes, and ensure that student retention, achievement, and progression targets are met.
- Ensure the college delivers exceptional educational experiences aligned with strategic goals, driving continuous improvement and academic excellence.
Requirements for the Director of Learning and Teaching role:
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and recognised teaching qualification (L6 or above).
- Substantial experience in curriculum design, delivery, and preferably quality assurance within the UK Higher Education system.
- Proven leadership skills with a successful track record managing teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
- Excellent understanding of the UK Higher Education landscape and international education export challenges.
- Ability to motivate, initiate, and lead change effectively while maintaining high standards of academic quality.
