Project Engineer – Permanent – Southampton – £30k – £35k plus benefits This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading marine services provider based in Southampton. This could suit a recent graduate with a degree in Marine/Mechanical Engineering looking to start their career. In this role you will be responsible for the coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects, including the preparation of proposals, project schedules and co-ordination of all of the agreed engineering work and will ensure that projects are managed in accordance with the quality management system, group policies and industry standards. Responsibilities include: Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans, conferring with management. Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors. Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates. Participating in/managing client/Contractor meetings and resolving client/engineering and project management issues. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems Verification and checks of all the project deliverables. To support the Senior PM in the delivery of the Operations, Special Projects and Marine Construction ProjectsExperience Required: Engineering qualification/degree/HND in Marine / Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture Hold a recognised Project Management qualification commensurate with the position (Desirable) Computer literate with knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office Professional (including MS Project), also knowledge of bespoke design software i.e. AutoCAD, Mathcad, FEA Eligibility for Security Clearance up to UK Secret Must have right to live and work in the UK To apply, please contact Tom Settle on (phone number removed) or send your CV to Navis Consulting; Keeping your career on course.
