Navis Consulting is seeking an experienced Maritime Sales Executive to join our innovative and growing client. Specialising in IoT-enabled SaaS platforms and big data analytics, they provide advanced remote monitoring and performance solutions to the global maritime sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a solutions-led sales environment, combining technical expertise with a consultative approach to deliver value-driven outcomes for customers. You will play a key role in helping maritime operators unlock operational efficiencies, improve sustainability, and maximise asset performance through software-driven solutions. This is a dynamic role that requires strong self-motivation and a proactive attitude. You’ll need to adapt to varying demands throughout busy periods and show enthusiasm for continuous improvement in technical solutions.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Achieve the sales targets set in line with business objectives
- Lead consultative, solutions-based sales engagements, positioning the company's SaaS and data-driven offerings effectively
- Engage early with customers to understand operational challenges and translate these into tailored software and monitoring solutions
- Support the wider sales team with technical expertise to accelerate opportunity conversion
- Translate technical requests from our customers into suitable solutions that exceed the clients expectations
- Collaborate with Product Directors to shape future SaaS features based on customer needs and market trends
- Manage and grow a portfolio of prospects and existing customers, focusing on long-term value and recurring revenue streams
- Represent the company at global maritime events, conferences, and trade shows
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across vessel operators, fleet managers, and technical teams
Essential Experience / Qualifications / Educational attainments:
- Proven experience selling SaaS, software, or data-driven solutions
- Experience of solutions-based or consultative selling, ideally in the maritime sector
- Background in selling into maritime, offshore, or related industries
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex sales cycles
- Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel for business (UK and internationally)
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with IoT, remote monitoring, or analytics platforms
- Engineering degree or relevant technical qualifications
- Knowledge of maritime operations, vessel systems, or offshore sectors
