This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable Ship Owner based in Liverpool.
As a planner, you ensure optimal planning and dispatch of the vessels, and ensure all parties involved are informed accordingly. This includes assessing incoming requests from customers and deciding on the allocation schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Keep track of actual (e.g. vessel positions, requested assistance, incoming, waiting, and departing ships, etc.), maintain the dispatch schedule and forecast workload
- Keep all parties involved (clients, captains and relevant others) informed
- Ensure safe operations and keep all parties involved (customers, captains, harbour authorities etc.) informed about schedule and alterations
- Act as a first and central point of contact in case of emergencies
- Ensure accurate data is entered in the system for billing purposes
Experience Required:
- Vocational education or higher in relevant discipline
- 3-8 years relevant work experience (logistics, administration), preferably in the maritime industry
- Good command of the English language
- Strong communicator
- Organised and stress-resistant
- Service-oriented and independent
- Open to complex situations & processes
- Passion for the maritime industry
You must have the right to work in the UK to be considered and live in commutable distance to the Liverpool office.
