This is an excellent opportunity to join a global leader in ship management & Marine services. The role can be based from one of these locations: UK, Poland, Latvia, Greece, Cyprus, Philippines, Singapore, or India.
The role has oversight responsibility for the overall selection and recruitment process of various roles for the respective sector, the use and development of the recruitment tools and systems in support of this, and the development of multiple recruitment channels in support of talent acquisition.
Responsibilities Include:
- Under support of Global Recruitment Standards Manager, effectively and efficiently implements the Global Recruitment Strategy for crew sourcing in the sector, including digital sourcing strategy.
- Manages the entire recruitment lifecycle, from recruitment request till planning / assignment stage.
- Ensures proposals of seafarers submitted by the sectoral recruitment team are compliant and timely.
- Coordinates with Regional Crewing Operations Directors if the team needs to be strengthened to achieve set recruitment goals.
- Coordinates with Senior Recruitment Managers for recruitment in respective regions, takes part in bi-annual and on request performance reviews of dedicated offshore recruitment resources.
- Manages relationships with third-party partners – recruitment agencies, social media and job board partners, etc., including supporting respective Crew Director in negotiations of prices with vendors and contracts’ management.
Experience Required:
- Significant direct sourcing and networking experience, minimum 7 years in a similar role is required.
- Previous experience managing multiple teams and managers, influencing skills.
- Previous experience of in-house recruitment is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of international conventions and regulations in shipping, the shipboard hierarchy, responsibilities, basic job descriptions, and certification requirements for officers and ratings in accordance with STCW and MLC 2006, and knowledge of various flag state requirements, including familiarity with procedures for obtaining flag state CEC.
- Offshore Vessel experience.
- Understanding the role of the various international bodies, including but not limited to IMO, ILO, ITF, in the formulation of rules and regulations that govern the terms of employment of seafarers.
- A confident communicator with a very strong command of English (verbal and written).
