Navis Consulting are looking for a practical, solutions-focused engineer to support the installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial laundry and warewash chemical dosing equipment on cruise ships around the world.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working in varied environments and delivering excellent service to customers. Flexible base, with extensive UK and international travel.
Travel: Around 75% of the role is based onboard cruise ships, with trips typically lasting 2–4 weeks and time back in lieu.
- Installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing chemical dosing equipment for commercial laundry and warewash applications
- Working with electrical and plumbing systems in a cruise ship environment
- Supporting onboard installation projects alongside project managers, engineers and contractors
- Preparing equipment, accessories and consumables for installation and maintenance work
- Completing service reports and technical documentation accurately and on time
- Providing technical support and training to customers and end users where needed
- Building strong customer relationships through professional, high-quality service
Qualifications:
- City & Guilds 17th Edition Electrical Installation qualification, or equivalent relevant electrical background
- Proven experience in a field-based or hands-on engineering role
- Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home for extended periods
- Experience in commercial laundry, warewash systems, dosing systems or plumbing would be an advantage
