Job responsibilities
To provide support, give time to service users withinthe unit and the community and thus promote recovery. To provide holistic care, taking into accountpsychosocial and physical healthcare needs of the service user group.
To assist Care Co-ordinator or key worker and serviceuser to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care plans andundertake other assessments as required.
Person Specification
Experience
- Experience of working with people with Mental Health problems
- An interest in and commitment to on-going personal/professional development
Qualifications
- NVQ Level III or Certificate in Community Mental Health, or a willingness to undertake this, or an equivalent level of experience
Additional Criteria
- Ability to respond to the individual rights/needs/opinions of service users
- Ability to maintain a safe environment for service users/ carers/staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility required to meet service needs

- Access to transport
- Evidence of a commitment to user/carer involvement
Knowledge
- Basic IT knowledge
- A basic knowledge/understanding of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
