NavigoCommunity Psychology are seeking to recruit a highly enthusiastic and motivated Psychological clinician, to work within our service to cover a period of Maternity Leave. The role is full-time; however part time hours and flexible working would be considered. The service provides support to adults across North East Lincolnshire and can receive referrals for a variety of clinical presentations, including Complex-PTSD, moderate to severe Anxiety and Depression, Bipolar and Personality Disorder. The team is made up of a range of psychological professionals, who are all passionate about providing high quality psychological care. We also value the importance of teamworking, peer support and having access to regular CPD opportunities.

Main duties of the job:

  • The successful candidate would be expected to make skilled evaluation and treatment plans for people with complex psychological needs, often presenting with comorbidities and a longstanding history of difficulties.
  • They would also implement and monitor specialist evidence-based psychological interventions, taking into account the complexity of needs identified.
  • Psychology staff are provided with a day working from home to encourage the opportunity for CPD practice and support with administrative duties.
  • The successful candidate will join a team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychological Therapists and Assistant Psychologists, who work closely with colleagues within the local Community Mental Health Teams and other Navigo services.

Job responsibilities:

  • Accountable for own professional practice in the delivery of specialist psychological care to clients with complex mental health conditions, which may include challenging behaviours.
  • To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families and promote at all times a positive image of people with mental ill health and any associated disabilities.
  • To provide advice, guidance and when applicable, clinical supervision to less experienced colleagues within the designated psychology service and to other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • To be pro‑active in continual service improvement within own area.
  • To promote at all times a positive image of the service and the wider organisation.
