Formed in 2016, Navigator operates four terminals, each strategically located in major UK ports and serving key demand centres within the UK. Job Summary
- Provide a sales and marketing function
- Manage and retain existing UK business by creating an understanding of customers' current and future requirements.
- Generate business by identifying new markets and business opportunities to deliver sustainable, profitable growth for the business.
- Promote and ensure Navigator UK is recognised as a quality, safe storage operator through attendance at industry events, conferences and trade shows.
- Give consideration to the safe movement of hazardous products during planning with staff and customers.
- Competent, safe and accurate completion of all allocated tasks is required to maintain the quality performance of the company.
- Comply with the Navigator UK Policy and Procedure on Site Security.
- Any other tasks that may arise in the day-to-day functionality of this position.
Key Accountabilities
- To manage existing accounts and understand customers' needs and expectations.
- Responsible for obtaining profitable results by developing contract strategies whilst implementing the sales funnel process to attract new business.
- Negotiate contracts, contract changes, ad hoc agreements, claims and variations to achieve commercially advantageous outcomes.
- Developing business plans and strategies to expand the customer base and maximise income.
- Responsible for maintaining and improving relationships with the client(s).
- Sales manager regular visit/speak to (potential) customers and understand the needs of our customers and related market developments.
- Provide accurate Latest Estimate reporting against budget in conjunction with other Sales Managers.
- Understand competitors' position and anticipate areas of business development.
- Highlight potential customers and generate leads for the organization through market research and business relationships.
- Assist in setting UK budgets and analyse/react to performance against budget.
- Monitoring and analysing the performance of accounts.
- To provide support and assist with internal/customer projects where needed, ensuring commercial awareness and compliance is understood.
- Provide commercial data and analysis in monthly reports as required.
- Assist and or Manage at the Commercial Director's discretion, the Navigator UK marketing budget.
- Develop brochures/magazines and have strong relationships with external publications.
