*Technical Engineer* *Salary:* £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) + £150 for Saturday rota *Contract:* Full‑time, permanent, PAYE *Hours:* Monday–Friday, plus paid Saturday technical‑support rota *Package:* Company van, tablet, mobile, 22 days’ holiday (+ bank holidays), pension, bonus, private health (after qualifying period)
*The role*
Provide on‑site fault‑finding and breakdown support for the manufacturer’s domestic boilers and hot‑water products across the South‑East. You’ll also handle phone‑line support on a rota and assist the sales team with occasional installer events and training sessions.
*Key duties*
* Diagnose and repair boiler faults at customer premises. * Cover the technical helpline (weekday and Saturday rota). * Support sales activities: installer visits, trade mornings/evenings, demos. * Monitor and mentor local service agents, ensuring standards and stock levels. * Deliver product training to installers and agents (presentations & live demos). * Resolve customer complaints quickly and cost‑effectively. * Contribute ideas and feedback to the wider technical team.
*What we’re looking for*
* Proven boiler fault‑finding/breakdown experience (ideally 5+ years). * Current ACS Core & Boiler tickets (CCN1, CENWAT). * Oil, Gas qualifications – essential. * Full UK driving licence and residence within the region. * Strong customer skills, good IT knowledge, self‑motivation. * Desirable: Air‑source heat‑pump or F‑Gas Cat 1 certification.
