Technical Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) + £150 for Saturday rota
Contract: Full time, permanent, PAYE
Hours: Monday-Friday, plus paid Saturday technical support rota
Package: Company van, tablet, mobile, 22 days' holiday (+ bank holidays), pension, bonus, private health (after qualifying period)
The role
Provide on site fault finding and breakdown support for the manufacturer's domestic boilers and hot water products across the South East. You'll also handle phone line support on a rota and assist the sales team with occasional installer events and training sessions.
Key duties
Diagnose and repair boiler faults at customer premises.
Cover the technical helpline (weekday and Saturday rota).
Support sales activities: installer visits, trade mornings/evenings, demos.
Monitor and mentor local service agents, ensuring standards and stock levels.
Deliver product training to installers and agents (presentations & live demos).
Resolve customer complaints quickly and cost effectively.
Contribute ideas and feedback to the wider technical team.
What we're looking for
Proven boiler fault finding/breakdown experience (ideally 5+ years).
Current ACS Core & Boiler tickets (CCN1, CENWAT).
Oil, Gas qualifications - essential.
Full UK driving licence and residence within the region.
Strong customer skills, good IT knowledge, self motivation.
Desirable: Air source heat pump or F Gas Cat 1 certification.
