IT Operations Manager

The Corporate IT Operations Manager oversees the health, security, and lifecycle of our identity platforms, physical assets, and core operational services. While you will manage a team of specialists responsible for day-to-day execution, you serve as the primary technical architect and owner of our IT operational strategy.

Technical Leadership & Design

• Architectural Ownership: Design and maintain the global configuration for Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune, ensuring scalable and secure identity and device management.
• Security Framework: Define Conditional Access policies and authentication standards that the team will implement and enforce.
• Process Engineering: Design the "Joiner/Mover/Leaver" automation workflows, delegating the execution to the team while ensuring 100% process integrity.
• Standardization: Establish the "Gold Standard" for endpoint provisioning (Autopilot/MDM) and hardware configurations.

Team Management & Mentorship

• Direct Supervision: Lead a team of IT specialists and administrators, providing clear objectives, performance feedback, and technical guidance.
• Workload Orchestration: Manage the team's ticket queues and project timelines, ensuring high-quality service delivery and rapid incident resolution.
• Skill Development: Mentor staff to increase their technical proficiency in Entra ID, Intune, and automation scripting.

Operational & Asset Strategy

• Lifecycle Governance: Own the strategy for procurement, deployment, and refresh cycles for all physical IT assets.
• Audit & Compliance: Partner with Finance and Security to ensure inventory is 100% accurate and that access reviews are completed on schedule.
• Vendor Stewardship: Manage high-level relationships with hardware and software vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring SLA compliance.

Escalated Execution

• Tier 3 Support: Act as the final point of escalation for critical or complex identity/access issues that the team cannot resolve.
• Change Management: Personally oversee and approve high-impact configuration changes to the production environment.

Success Indicators

• Service Response: The team meets internal service level agreements for IT operations requests.
• Security Posture: Zero "high-risk" findings in identity or access audits.
• Operational Efficiency: Continuous reduction in manual "toil" through the automation strategies you lead.
• Team Growth: Successful promotion or skill-level advancement of your direct reports.

Person Specification

• Education/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104).
• Experience:

• Identity: Expert knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, SSO, and RBAC models.
• Device Management: Deep experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot strategies.
• Governance: Proven ability to design Conditional Access and least-privilege frameworks.
• Automation: Ability to review/architect PowerShell or Graph API scripts for automation.
• Management: 3+ years managing technical teams in a global environment (~400+ users).

• Strong analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail.
• Clear communicator able to simplify the complex for non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset — works well across business, engineering, and vendor boundaries.
