Overview
In this role, you will support the preparation and submission of tenders for large-scale civil projects, shaping technical proposals, work plans, and execution strategies. You will collaborate with bid management, planning, procurement, technical, HSQE and operations to identify risks and opportunities. You’ll work across disciplines, support pre-bid meetings and client presentations, and help ensure timely tender submissions. This is a hands-on role that combines technical engineering with bid management to win complex projects. A clear hook is the chance to influence project delivery strategy from the bidding stage.

- Car allowance: 5,750
- Salary: 50,000 - 65,000

- Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings
Responsibilities
- Analyse tender documents, specifications and technical information
- Prepare technical proposals, work plans and risk mitigation strategies
- Develop project schedules, resource plans and budget forecasts
- Identify technical challenges and develop practical engineering solutions
- Support the development of project execution plans for underground works
- Coordinate with geotechnical, construction and subcontractor teams
- Provide technical support during pre-bid meetings and client presentations
- Prepare technical and commercial bid documentation
- Maintain accurate tender records and supporting information
- Report on progress, risks and potential issues
- Manage multiple tender submissions against tight deadlines
- Attend project sites and client meetings when required
Key requirements
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction techniques
- Experience preparing technical proposals and work plans
- Understanding of project planning, resource planning and budgeting
- Awareness of relevant procurement legislation
- Commercial awareness of different forms of contract
