What will you be doing:
- Leading the engineering function across nominated projects and sectors, supporting both bid and delivery teams.
- Providing technical assurance across design, construction, and handover while managing engineering risk.
- Driving innovation and best-value engineering solutions through design, methods, and technology.
- Providing technical leadership on bids, tenders, and client engagements.
- Developing engineering teams and promoting the companies standards, values, and culture.
What you'll need:
- Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) approved by the Head of Technical Services.
- Substantial experience across both design and construction on major civil engineering projects.
- Strong leadership experience managing engineering teams and design managers.
- Proven ability to provide technical assurance and risk management on complex projects.
- In-depth understanding of Principal Designer duties, including ERIC.
- Ability to deputise for the Project Manager when required.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
