Are you an electrically biased Building Services Manager looking for your next opportunity with a Tier 1 Main Contractor? I am recruiting for a Building Services Manager to join a construction team in Birmingham, overseeing the coordination and delivery of building services from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
This role would suit someone with a strong electrical background who can also manage the wider mechanical and electrical services packages, working closely with design teams, subcontractors and site management.
The RoleManage building services packages, ensuring delivery meets programme, quality and budget requirements.
Review designs for buildability, compliance and coordination with the wider construction works.
Oversee M&E subcontractors, monitoring progress and resolving technical issues.
Provide electrical expertise throughout procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.
Work with commercial and project teams to identify risks and manage changes.
Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality across services installations.
Coordinate commissioning, certification, O&M information and final handover.
About YouExperience as a Building Services Manager, M&E Manager or Electrical Project Manager within construction. A strong electrical background, supported by a relevant qualification.
Experience working for a main contractor or managing substantial M&E packages. A sound understanding of mechanical services and the interfaces between disciplines.
Confident reviewing technical information and coordinating specialist subcontractors.
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. Experience managing services through to commissioning and handover.
