Senior Environmental Consultant
Location : Leeds
Salary: Circa £35,000 – £43,000 negotiable dependant on experience plus;
– 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

A multi-disciplined environmental and sustainability consultancy are looking to expand their environmental services and as such are looking for a Senior Consultant to join them with a specific focus on technical environmental consultancy work within the waste, resources and renewable energy sectors.
Senior Environmental Consultant Role Summary
Active involvement in day to day office and field based environmental work. Responsibility for the operational impact, customer focus and quality of delivery of the project work. Your mission will be to protect and enhance the environment by supporting our clients to develop their technical solutions and to mitigate their impact on the environment. You will be part of a wider team, managing projects, clients and colleagues to deliver projects that make a tangible difference in enhancing and protecting our environment.
Work across a range of services and sectors to deliver works including:
– development planning and permitting
– compliance managements and advice
– feasibility assessments
– investment due diligence
– waste service procurement
– environmental and occupational monitoring
Required Skills for the Senior Environmental Consultant
– A minimum of 2 years\’ experience in an equivalent consultancy or regulatory role.
– A degree in an applicable field of study such as environmental science, sustainability, geography, geology or other similar field is a requirement.
– Excellent communication skills to rationally explain, explore and discuss environmental issues, as well as to sell your ideas and services
– The ability to build relationships with a range of people, such as project managers and contractors
– The ability to manage client expectations around sustainability issues
– knowledge of environmental issues, but also technological solutions, and relevant environmental legislation, policy and guidance
– project management skills to manage scope, budget and timescales
– creative thinking and problem-solving skills
– Excellent numeracy and literacy skills for analysing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data research, writing reports and making recommendations.
