A dynamic and forward-thinking organisation specialising in the delivery of high quality environmental and civil engineering solutions is looking to hire a Health & Safety Advisor t o join their team. working on a major infrastructure project in Saxmundham (East Suffolk) for approximately 2 years and then working across the UK on other major infrastructure work. Lodge Allowance / Travel Allowance available HSE Management Plans - supporting the planning processes and production/maintenance of key management plans including the Project Management Plan (PMP), Construction Phase Plan (CPP), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Devising & Approving RAMS, Task Briefings, Permit to Dig etc. Safety Briefings, inductions and site team engagement - deliver site safety inductions to all site team, workforce and visitors, support the site team preparing and delivering toolbox talks, behavioural safety programmes and safety briefings Technical Advice & Support - providing specialist advice, support and input where required to deal with specific project issues with planning, managing and monitoring HSE considerations Project Review - reviewing the project to identify opportunities and unusual risks, to be briefed etc. HSE Compliance - ensuring compliance with HSE management system & procedures as part of our Business Management System both in self-delivering requirements, but also influencing behaviours, coaching & mentoring and compliance across all sites and teams HSE Monitoring - providing support in terms of project monitoring requirements, including regular HSE inspections, audits, trends etc. Risk Identification & Mitigation - as appropriate Record Keeping -including regular HSE progress and status reports Client Interface - satisfy client requirements by providing client HSE representation and attendance at progress meetings Heath & Safety Advisor Specification - Full UK driving licence - Minimum NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate and working towards next qualification - Preferable 2/3 years working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 civil engineering contractor - Highly developed professional communication skills, including writing and presentation of reports, investigations, preparing relevant documents, and participating in a range of meetings - Be able to confidently and effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce, contractors, clients and regulatory bodies - Be self-motivated, focused, reliable, well-organised, flexible, possess good team working ethic - Enthusiastic about health, safety & environmental issues - Possess strong computer literacy, including good working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite Competitive starting salary Between Β£45,000 - Β£55,000 dependant on level of experience plus - Company contributing pension scheme (eligibility applies) - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays - Travel and subsistence allowances whilst attending site - Car allowance or Company vehicle - Training and professional membership fee reimbursed Get in touch with a full CV detailing your experience to apply for this Health & Safety Advisor Opportunity.
