We are looking for an experienced Highways Site Engineer to support ongoing road improvement/new roads and infrastructure works in the Norwich area. It is an opportunity for a freelance engineer with strong technical skills, good site leadership, and a background in highways construction.
As a Site Engineer, you will be working for a Tier 1 contractor, and we are looking for someone with Tier 1/PC experience, large scale and fast moving project experience, and who has worked on projects such as New Roads, Road Realignments, Slip roads, etc.
Some key responsibilities are:
- Setting out for highways works including road construction, drainage, kerbing, ducting, pavements, and earthworks
- Completing quality assurance documents, ITPs, as-builts, daily records, and other paperwork
- Managing and resolving technical queries on site
- Working closely with the Site Manager and Section Engineer to ensure safe, efficient delivery
Start date - ASAP
Length - 12 months initial contract
Location - Site based in Norwich
Rate - £350 pd Inside IR35
