The Opportunity:
Due to a number of recent contract awards, a leading main contractor is looking for a Planner to work on a mix of tenders and live projects in the Midlands and South. This company has grown from strength to strength in the last 5 years and has become a true market leader in their field. They have a full order book and work on a repeat basis with a number of blue chip clients with enough work to keep them busy for the next 2-3 years. Projects range from £10m to £100+m and include commercial, residential/accommodation, industrial/logistics and data centres.
What will they consider?
- An experienced Assistant Planner looking for a step up to Project Planner.
- An established Planner that is looking for a fresh challenge.
The Key Requirements:
- Main contracting background within building/construction sector.
- A practical construction management or engineering background is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in the use of Asta PowerProject software.
- Exposure to a variety of commercial construction projects upwards of £10m.
- Excellent communication skills, works well under pressure, team player, able to work autonomously when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Qualified to a high standard in a relevant subject.
Ideal Locations:
Due to the location of the office and sites within their region, the ideal candidate would live in or around the following areas - Birmingham/West Midlands, East Midlands, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, London / South East.
